Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress and singer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier who was a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American singer and actress. She is the daughter of a Polish and her father is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a talented entertainer in the early stages. In 1992 she won her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother prior to the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model on newspapers and television commercials. Also, Bell began taking private acting classes. Bell had a small uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and music club in Shrine Catholic High School. She was a part of Dorothy in the production for high school in The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts for a musical theater course following her graduating. The year 2001 was the time Bell left university to play the role of Becky in Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she was the first to be credited with Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and her appearance exists only in the credit sequence. Bell made an appearance on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival that featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
