
Teri Lynn Hatcher is the daughter of Teri Hatcher, born in Palo Alto California on December 8th 1964. Her mother, Esther, was a computer programmer at Lockheed Martin, and her father, Owen, was an nuclear physicist and electrical engineer. Teri studied ballet at San Juan School of Dance and was raised in Sunnyvale. She was a student at Fremont High School, where she was leader of the Featherettes dance team. She also was voted "Most Likely to Become an Solid Gold Dancer." After graduating Hatcher went on to study engineering and math at De Anza College and took acting classes at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri confessed that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone had sexually assaulted her from the age of five. She also assisted Santa Clara County prosecutors in their investigation into Stone following the 14-year-old victim of Stone's committed suicide. Stone was found guilty of four charges of molestation. He died from colon cancer while in prison
